PADI is a dive company that sets the standards in the global diving community and is the most recognized dive certification in the world!

Throughout the course, you’ll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You will earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification that is recognized worldwide.

As a certified PADI Open Water Diver you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional. Your underwater adventure can begin as soon as today with the new PADI Open Water Diver Crew Pack and Video! You can view these materials at home, at your own pace and then meet with an instructor for further assistance.

Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification.

Local Dives are held at Stearns County Quarry Park & Reserve in the summer, and with PADI's Universally accepted Worldwide Referral Program, winter travelers can complete their certification dives at their convenience at the destination of their choice or join us on one of our warm water trips and complete the required dives there.


Underwater Sports Adventure PADI Scuba Certification
Your Open Water Scuba Course begins with your home study program. You have course materials which include your text book, video or DVD, log book and dive table. At the time of registration you will have scheduled to meet with a Professional PADI instructor for the classroom review and pool dives. These classes are schedule the third weekend of each month year round. They are limited in space and fill up quickly so you will need to schedule yourself into the class when you receive your course materials.

Class starts at 9:30 AM on Saturday where you will begin your adventure discussing the course materials and answering ny questions you have by mid afternoon you are in the pool diving. Sunday starts you out diving where you pool dives are completed and then it is back to Underwater Sports Adventure where we will check your equipment in, finish the review, test out and your instructor will sign your log book.

To complete your certification you will need to complete your open water dives. The Open Water dives are usually scheduled when you register for the course. Set open water times are the weekend following the class and pool. You may also complete these dives while you are vacationing with PADI's universal referral program. If you are traveling with us as we would loved to have you, our instructor will complete your dive certification at that time.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Each student is required to supply their own mask, scuba fins (adjustable) and snorkel. It is recommended you have boots however it is not required.

REGISTRATION: In order for you to receive your start up module and guarantee a spot we require full payment at time of registration. It is recommended you sign up early as our classes fill up quickly.

OPTION 1:(tax not included)
Tuition: $239.95 for home study, classroom review and pool dives. Includes: open Water Dive course home study module, certification fees, use of scuba equipment. (To complete your certification you will need to complete 4 open water dives with a Certified Scuba Instructor.)

OPTION 2:(tax not included)
Tuition: $434.95 for home study, classroom review and pool dives, and four open water dives. Includes: course home study materials, logbook, electronic dive table, certification envelope, certification fees, use of scuba equipment and air. Required open water dives.

OPTION 3:Referral
Tuition for the referral dives is $195.00. This portion will included the four open water dives, picture, certification card, and all equipment minus mask, fins and snorkel.

Open water dives will be completed locally at Stearns County Quarry Park May thru October or you may complete them with us on one of our many warm water travel adventures.
